
This course determines whether candidates wishing to participate on the Sailing Instructor (dinghy) course have the necessary skills and knowledge.
It is a mandatory pre-requisite for entry to Sailing Instructor (Dinghy) training. Successful candidates must complete their Instructor training and assessment within 6 months of completing the pre-entry assessment.

Content:
Day 1 - Training of skills necessary for assessment (below)**
Day 2 - Assessment on boat handling, navigation, pilotage, rules of the road, weather, coastal knowledge & ropework.
**It should not be assumed that completing the training day prior to assessment will automatically guarantee a successful outcome on the assessment day**
Ability After Course: You will have the necessary skills and knowledge to take a place on the ISA Sailing Instructor (Dinghy) training course.
Course Duration: 1 or 2 day - one day of Training and one day of assessment.
Minimum Age: 17
Cost of course: €160 - Includes training day and assessment.
Assessment day only: €80
