School and Youth Tours

Looking to book a school or Youth tour that is fun, safe, unique and hassle free? Then you have come to the right place!  With over 26 years of school tour programming under our belts, we provide the best tour your group will experience! 

With the addition of some really unique and exciting activities, the kids will have a day that lasting memories are made of!  Our base at the waters edge is purpose built, with plenty of changing space, showers and indoor/outdoor space for lunchtime.

Complimentary tea/coffee is provided for teachers & bus drivers, and we also have a tuck shop with drinks, icecreams and snacks.

Our school tours are very popular, as many schools book a year in advance, so it is advisable to make your booking as early as possible!

  • How much does a school tour cost?

    If you have a school tour with a group of 15 students or over, we have a special group rate for you - this rate excludes July and August!

    A full day of activities with arrival at 9:30am and departure at 3pm including 6 activities costs €36 per student.

  • What is the cheapest school tour available?

    If you are on a tight budget, you can avail of our one hour 'Wibit Wipeout tour'.

    Total time on site is two hours, half hour registration and equipment allocation, one hour on our Wibit Wipeout Aquapark, and half an hour (approx) to get changed.

    This tour costs €20 per person, there is limited availability for a 3pm to 4pm start from mid May and June, or during the day in April and the first two weeks of May.

    Adding another water activity, you can have a two hour water session, with three hours on site for €26 per person. Again this tour is only available on a limited basis throughout the first two weeks of May, or from 3pm - 5pm from the end of May to the end of June.

    Groups size must be 25 or more.

    Once you have decided on a date, a €500 deposit is required, or half the full amount, what ever is the least amount.

  • What kind of activities can the students do?

    We have a 6 activity programme:


    9.30 Arrival & Registration, 

    9.45 Equipment allocation

    10.00 WATERSPORTS Wibit Wipeout Aquapark, Kayaking, Giant Stand up Paddle Boards

    12 noon Lunch Break

    1pm LAND ACTIVITIES Climbing, Caving, Archery

    3pm Goodbyes and Departure!

  • What are the minimum and maximum group sizes?

    Minimum group size: 16 participants (to avail of our group rates)

    Maximum group size: 200 participants

  • What is the arrival/departure time?

    Arrival time is 9:30, for registration, with the activities kicking off at 10am. At certain times of the year we can be more flexible on start times, ie if you are travelling from a good distance, we may be able to push the day out by an hour or so. Give us a call if you need further clarification and we will do our best to facilitate you!

    The activities conclude at 3pm which is when you can organise your transport home.

  • What do the children need to bring with them?

    We supply all of the specialised equipment - wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets for water based activities, and helmets, knee pads where necessary for land activities. If anyone would like to bring a wetsuit, just ensure that it is marked so that it doesnt get mixed in with our own.

    The students will need to bring:

    Swim wear, old runners to wear in the water, towel, long sleeves for caving, and a packed lunch.

  • Do the teachers need to supervise during activities?

    No. Once the students are registered in the morning, our instructors will look after them until their lunch break

    Teachers are required to look after the students during their lunch break. 

  • When is the tour balance required?
    The balance for your school tour is required on the morning of arrival, or earlier. 
  • Is there a distance between the activities?
    All activities for our school tours take place at our base in Dunmore East Harbour, so there is no time wasted going from one to the other!
  • Do you have a shop?

    We have a tuck shop selling hot and cold drinks, snacks and icecreams.

    2019 sees a new gift shop opening, and we also have food available in our Splash Cafè, please book in advance for group food!

    The good news is that there is complimentary Tea and Coffee for teachers and drivers!
